The Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History put on their annual ‘The Red Ball’ fundraiser gala. This year was special because event goers got a first look and experience of what Abbott Square will be very soon. Everyone was dressed in their finest festive attire, with lots of red of course. Guests got to provide donations by picking out a spoon to be hammered flat in front of them then get their name engraved onto the spoon. All the spoons will become a beautiful art piece displayed in the square. There were many drink choices, Bill’s Oysters to enjoy and dinner entertainment was a merry band called Post Street Rhythm Peddlers. The live auction was an exciting affair with the always fun, Michael Termini. This fun, festive night raised $120 thousand for the Museum! The MAH provides so much to our community and the generous donors make it all possible.
