Santa Cruz Waves took over the Museum of Art and History for their 3rd Annual Swellies Awards celebration. All 3 levels were full. The bottom floor was where guests were greeted and given their beverage glass. Bargetto Winery was pouring an assortment of wines. The Swellies winner awards were on display all made by the talented local artist Ed Martinez. Vida Juice was sharing their healthy, delicious drinks. A DJ was keeping the beats going and photographer Allison Garcia was stationed at the logo wall, step and repeat (see her photos here). Save Our Shores had a booth where people could sign a card, add sand and send it to the California Coastal Commision to stop the Lapis Lustre Sand Mine in Marina from illegal sand mining. The second floor was all about food… Aptos St. BBQ had meat and a vegi option, Hula’s brought some island eats, El Palomar transported their taco bar, and Akira brought the sushi. At the top, third floor, was the beer garden. The most packed area of all. Guests enjoyed beer from Uncommon and NuBo, plus cider from Tanuki while taking in the balmy, fresh spring air.
Congratulations to all the winners!!!
