Want a taste of the Sierras without the long drive? Loch Lomond Recreation Area is open and the fishing is great!
Tucked away in the Santa Cruz Mountains, Loch Lomond Reservoir primarily serves as drinking water supply for our City of Santa Cruz. But beyond its purpose as the City’s only reservoir, Loch Lomond is also a wonderful place to recreate.
There are lots of ways to enjoy Loch Lomond with boating, fishing and hiking, to name a few.
There are great spots for picnics to accommodate small or large groups and birdwatchers will enjoy an abundance of bird species.
There are special ranger-led programs.
And a lush variety of flora and fauna for nature lovers.
Loch Lomond is now open daily through Labor Day. April hours are 7 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. There’s a $6 vehicle entry fee. Many wonders await you!
