Scholastic High School Sailing Team Next Fall

Enroll in one of our 3 day ‘Learn to Sail’ clinics:

THIS IS A FUN CO-ED SPORT FOR ANYONE INTERESTED IN RACING TWO PERSON SAILBOATS.
These Summer Clinics will run from 10am – 4pm at a cost of $225/Clinic. (A one time yearly cost of $65 to join SCYC as a junior member is not included) Coaching includes fun on the water drills as well as lecture and video review at the yacht club.
Potential candidates will be entering 8th grade in Fall or already in high school.
There will be a swim test and capsize drill on the first day of the Clinic.
Bring: A healthy lunch, re-useable water bottle, sunscreen, wet suit and a Coast Guard approved life jacket.
During the school year our High School teams practice every Saturday at the Santa Cruz Harbor and once or twice a month we travel to races around the Bay Area. Sailing is a skill you can use your whole life and now is the time to start! If you’re comfortable with sailing and being on the water we encourage you to join our team and come to SCYC’s Summer Sailing Clinics to get a jump start in our program, and even if you aren’t familiar with sailing we would love to have you join us for our beginner clinics in the summer.
