Boulder Creek had some incredible fun with small town style Fourth Of July Parade on Saturday morning. Everybody comes out along Central Ave with flags and cheers. Fire engines from the Boulder Creek and Ben Lomond units weave through, and kids throw candy to the crowd. The parade included dancers, Fifth District Supervisor Bruce McPherson, dirt bikes, loggers (it’s also the start of Lumberjack Days ), martial arts demonstrations, horses, classic cars, motorcycle stunts, and (my favorite especially silly float) the Wet Dream. The parade was followed by more fun panning for “gold” at Junction Park where there was food, music, and ooh yeah shaved ice.
