David Kawananakoa, Edward Keliiahonui and Jonah Kuhio Kalaniana’ole — the Hawaiian princes who brought surfing to Santa Cruz.
Local historians Geoffrey Dunn and Kim Stoner sold out their First Friday Princes of Surf talk in July and now they’re back for an encore history lesson. This talk will connect with the MAH Princes of Surf exhibition. Learn all about the Princes and how they made history when they stepped into the waves of Santa Cruz with their redwood boards.
Museum of Art and History Atrium, 705 Front St, Santa Cruz. 6:30pm-7:30pm. Admission $5.
