FREE July Parks Events All Month Long

Did you know that July is Parks Make Life Better month? To celebrate, our Parks and Rec Department is sponsoring many free activities.

Movies on the Beach are offered every Wednesday at 9 p.m. These family-friendly movie nights are a classic Santa Cruz summer event. Enjoy The Outsiders, The Wedding Singer, Bumblee and The Goonies. Check out the details here.

Food Trucks will be at Garfield Park on Thursday, July 18, 5 – 8 p.m., with a wide variety of food options, FOPAR beer and wine garden, plus games and activities for kids.

Recreation Swim Day is Saturday, July 20, 12 – 3 p.m. at Harvey West Pool.

Also on July 20, is our Downtown Significant Tree Walk with Leslie Keedy, the City’s certified arborist and Urban Forester. This walk will highlight significant trees in the downtown area. Meet at City Hall between City Council Chambers and the Library. All ages are welcome.

Family Fun Day is Saturday, July 27, 3 – 7 p.m. at Harvey West Park. Join us for inflatable obstacle courses, oversized board games, food trucks, beer garden and free swimming at Harvey West Pool. The fun will include kickball games and a pop-up playground.
