Given the COVID-19 stay-in-place orders, our Parks and Rec Department has launched a Virtual Recreation resource web page for all ages. It includes five categories of activities: Fun for Seniors, Fun Outside, Fun at Home, Arts & Culture and Local Resources. From these pages, your favorite Louden Nelson Community Center instructors come to you!

Seniors are now able to participate remotely in offerings that include Gentle Yoga, Line Dancing, Boomer Qi Gong and Exercise Class.

Fun at Home provides a link to our Santa Cruz Public Library  with kids activities including online games, make-at-home crafts and bite-size education. You can also download ebooks, audiobooks, magazines, movies and music using your Santa Cruz Public Library card. And if you don’t have a library card, simply sign-up online.

Teens can join the Teen Center’s virtual activities through their Instagram @scteencenter and take online virtual field trips including a visit to the Sand Diego Zoo with live videos of  polar bears and other animals.
