This year in May, marked the 35th Anniversary of the Surf Museum. Our Surf Museum may not be the biggest, in fact, it is the smallest of the others. However, it is the most significant, as it is located next to the world class surf of Steamer Lane, and documents the history of surfing in our area beginning with the 3 Hawaiian Princes in 1885. This July 19th, it will be the 136th anniversary of the introduction of surfing to the US mainland. Santa Cruz is the real “Surf City”!
